DALIAN: In mid-to-late August, the spring millet in the mountains, Henan and Hebei, began to be harvested and marketed. There are many varieties, mainly Yugu and Jigu series, and the yield of most plots is more than 800 kilograms. The growth period is affected by drought and rainy weather, and the supply quality is average. New millet has a low price-performance ratio and slow start-up of downstream demand.
After listing, only a small amount of sales in the local and surrounding areas, the price shows a downward trend. As of August 28, the purchase price of the local spring millet rice factory in Jinxiang, Jining, Shandong was 0.89 USD/kg, and the gross grain and moisture content were within 15%, which was a decline of 0.046 USD/kg from the original price. The purchase price of local millet rice mills in Yichuan, Luoyang, Henan, and Guangzong County, Xingtai, Hebei, was 0.90-0.93 USD/kg, gross grains were priced according to quality, and the rice output rate was 60%-64%.
