DALIAN – Market research shows that the export situation did not improve this week. According to the feedback of Chinese exporters, from June to early July, the main export market is the North American market. The export volume of the EU is less than 30% of the United States market. The current FOB price is USD 20-50/mt lower than the previous week.
In Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia, the planting area is reduced this year. The planting area of Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia decreased by about 15%, and Heilongjiang even reached nearly 50%. So farmers are not as anxious to sell their goods as in previous years but looking forward to the price rise brought by the autumn volume decrease.
Manufacturers are not in a hurry to replenish their inventory due to heavily reduced orders, plus both GWS and Shine Skin are currently in a shortage of raw materials. There is no possibility of a low-price purchase which could give the market a boost in this dilemma.
