Major food factories, wholesale markets and retailers have successively purchased sunflower seed kernels in large quantities, resulting in a slight rise in the price of sunflower seed kernels.
In terms of exports, sunflower seed kernels are better than pumpkin seed kernels, and exports are stable. Orders increased in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe, while orders in the US market decreased. Traders predict that the price of sunflower seeds will not fall before the Spring Festival. This week, the FOB Dalian or Tianjin price of candy-grade sunflower seed kernels is US$1.660-1.710/ton, and the FOB Tianjin or Dalian price of baking-grade sunflower seed kernels is US$1.610-1.650/ton. The increase in domestic market demand has supported the rise in prices.
