TIANJIN: According to feedback from exporters and producers, demand for sunflower seeds fell in July and August due to hot weather and the traditional low season for sales. Traders are trying to support prices as the acreage is expected to decrease in 2022 but prices may drop slightly. The market is expected to remain sluggish as the hot weather continues. At present, the production area has sufficient supply. This week, 361 standard sunflower seeds were exported, 180-190 grains/50 grams. The export price is US$1.280-1.330/ton, and the price of count 190-200PCS/50G is US$1.270-1.310/ton. Continue to monitor market changes.
