Consultations between Russia and the UN on the implementation of the memorandum on the access of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to the world market will be held in Moscow on May 5, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
“Our evaluation of the implementation of the Russia-UN Memorandum on the access of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to the world market is well known and has not changed. I can say that the next round of consultations on the implementation of the memorandum between the Russian interdepartmental delegation and the UN representatives headed by UNCTAD Secretary-General Rebecca Greenspan will be held in Moscow on May 5,” Zakharova said at a briefing.
The date of the high-level meeting on the grain deal has not yet been agreed upon. The dates are under discussion.
Earlier, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that the delegations of Russia, Ukraine and Turkey will hold a meeting in Istanbul on May 5 to discuss the grain deal. According to him, Ankara initiated the meeting, while Moscow and Kiev supported the proposal.
