Due to monsoon rains, the arrival of coriander has been affected. It includes the spot markets of the Hadauti region of Rajasthan. Despite this, the price range stayed the same. Also, it is expected to remain within the range in the coming days.
If the forecast of the Meteorological Department is to be believed, then the monsoon has reached active in the entire country, including Rajasthan. This is the reason that the arrival of coriander was affected in other spot markets, including Baran of the area. The arrival of coriander in the Baran spot market has come down to about 500 sacks, and in the Ramganj spot market, about one thousand bags. Despite the arrival being comparatively low, the coriander price remained at the previous day’s level.
Earlier, there was an atmosphere of stability in the wholesale price of coriander in the spot market in Rajasthan. However, the arrival of coriander has come down drastically over the last few days in the primary spot markets of Rajasthan. On the other hand, the demand from consuming regions like South India is also said to be weak due to the monsoon season.
In Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, there is sluggish buying. In Gujarat, the sentiment is low toward buying coarse coriander of Gujarat. However, coriander remains strong in the main markets of Rajasthan.
According to market experts, coriander prices may remain strong in the next five to seven days.
