Market players stated that exporters started to give price offers again, but they were very cautious because no product was left in the market. Raw material prices are still around 60-65 TL/kg, but it was stated that the lack of increase was due to the lack of products in the market. The fluctuations in the Turkish Lira and the unpredictability of developments in the near and long term lead exporters to be even more cautious.
Today the Usd/TL rate was noted at 13.89 TL (13.03 last week) and Euro/TL rate at 15.72 TL levels (14.70 last week).
Turkey exported 1221 mt of dried figs and figs products, being 1111 mt during the same week of last year. The total exports range at 32.208 mt, being 32.502 mt in total in the same period last year.
