Ginger’s price steadily climbs within the local wholesale fruit-vegetable market nestled in Azadpur. Ginger from Bangalore exclusively graces this market, yet its recent arrival has dwindled.
Thus, the lackadaisical demeanor of millers towards Aurangabad’s dry ginger engenders disinterest in other states’ produce. Kochi barely witnesses the arrival of dry ginger, resulting in a recent price hike, which now stands stable. Aurangabad’s dry ginger, enthralling millers with its relatively lower price, steals the spotlight. Even with ginger’s attractive prices nationwide, farmers have recently shown diminished enthusiasm for ginger production.
