Egypt expects to benefit from the experience of Malaysian counterparts in the production of palm oil, said Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir. According to him, Egypt is ready to scrutinize technological chains of palm oil production and gain experience from Malaysian market players. Thus, the African country can become a regional center for palm oil production and its further export to neighboring markets.
“To do this, the ministry is ready to provide all the necessary methods of support and help in attracting investment in the industry. And Malaysian companies can benefit from the trade benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, chief among which is the exemption from customs duties,” says Samir.
Malaysia, in turn, praised the prospects of Egypt as one of the most important destinations in the middle east and Africa.
