EU Extends Ban on Imports of Ukrainian Grain and Oilseeds to Five Countries

EU has extended the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain and oilseeds to five bordering countries (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria) until the middle of September. This was reported by the Polish news agency PAP, citing sources in Brussels. Previously, restrictions on the supply of agricultural products were in effect until June 5.

“The European Commission extended until mid-September the EU ban on imports of wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower from Ukraine. The measure went into effect as early as May 2 and replaced unilateral decisions to ban imports introduced by countries bordering Ukraine, including Poland,” the publication said.
