According to the estimates of Fediol industrial association, in June, the EU soybean processing is estimated at 1.11 mln tonnes, down 14% compared to the previous month (1.28 mln tonnes) and 6% compared to June 2022 (1.19 mln tonnes).
Also, in the reporting month, the downward trend of rapeseed processing was recorded, down 18% compared to May, to 1.26 mln tonnes. However, compared to the previous year, the volumes of oilseed processing increased by 22% (1.03 mln tonnes in June 2022).
Last month, the EU sunflower processing reached 517 thsd tonnes, up 2% compared to the previous month and 24% compared to June 2022.
In general, in the first half of 2023, the total processing of oilseeds in the EU is estimated at 19.36 mln tonnes, down from 18.64 mln tonnes in January-June 2022.
