BRAZIL- March 24 news: Brazil’s national commodity supply company (CONAB) said that as of March 19, Brazil’s 2021/22 soybean harvest progress reached 80.2%, up from 63.1% a week earlier and also higher than the same period last year which was 60.1%.
CONAB monitors the situation in the country’s 12 main soybean-producing regions, which account for 97 percent of the country’s soybean acreage: Tocantins, Maranhao, Piaui, Bahia, Matogro Sao, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina and the Rio Grande do Sul. In Mato Grosso, the harvest was 98.2% complete, 95.4% last week and 91.7% a year earlier. The Parana harvest is 68% complete, 54% last week and 58% last year.
