Belarusian agricultural producers have started the final phase of harvesting rapeseed from the fields of the regions. As Belta informs referring to the data of specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the country, oilseed has already been harvested from 90.4% of the area.
It is noted that by September 1, rapeseed was removed from 327 thousand hectares – thus, local farmers will have to process about 35 thousand hectares of fields. By the reporting date, the threshing of crops amounted to 848.6 thousand tons with an average yield of 26 centners per hectare.
The ministry also noted that the country is also completing the collection of grains and legumes (excluding corn) in agricultural organizations – crops have been harvested from 2.106 million hectares (96.8% of the plan).
“In the Brest region, 98.4% of the area (350.8 thousand hectares) was harvested, in the Vitebsk region – 92.2% (332.1 thousand hectares), in the Gomel region – 98.1% (342.2 thousand hectares) , Grodno – 96.9% (302.5 thousand hectares), Minsk – 98% (449.6 thousand hectares), Mogilev – 97.3% (328.9 thousand hectares),” the report says.
