Three districts in India are prominent in the production of coriander, in which Guna (Madhya Pradesh) is first, Ramganj (Rajasthan) is second and third is Gondal (Gujarat). But the special thing is that the coriander of Guna is being exported in the country and abroad.
20 to 25% of the country’s coriander is produced in the Guna district. The district produces 32,000 tonnes of coriander per year.
Two types of coriander are grown in the district, small coriander and fat coriander. Small coriander is aromatic, which is in great demand in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi.
