The average price of each kilogram of exported dates has also dropped by 2.3 percent compared to the previous year. Decreasing the export demand this year is the most significant reason for the reduction in exports and the average price of each kilogram of exported dates compared to last year. The main factor in reducing Iran’s date export demand is the problems related to the sanctions against Iran, including financial and bank transfers.

Compared to the last six weeks, there has been a significant increase in domestic and export demand for Iranian dates due to the arrival of the new year product in the market. This increase in demand and limited supply of dates has caused a significant increase in the price of Iran’s export dates in the domestic market of Iran and international markets. Compared to the last six weeks, the cost of Iranian dates for export has risen by 11 to 13.5 percent in global markets.
