Rise in demand, rise in price

The demand for Iranian dried figs increased last month with the arrival of the new year product in the market. This increase in demand led to a rise in the price of this product in the domestic market of Iran and international markets compared to last month. The increase in the price of this product was due to the rise in demand compared to the past month. Also, the exchange rate of foreign currencies rose by about 3.5 percent in the Iranian market in the past two weeks due to the continuation of protests against the government in Iran and the halt of negotiations to revive the JCPOA.

In total, the price of Iranian dried figs for export increased by 4 to 6 percent compared to last month. The cost of higher-quality figs rose by 5 to 6 percent, and the price of medium-quality figs rised by 4 to 5 percent.
