DALIAN – Market participants reported that exporters and traders in producing areas have less than 1.5 percent of 2020 crop organic mung beans in stock, and there is not much supply of organic mung bean in the market. It means that there will be less supply of sprouts and commercial beans until the 2021 crop will be available. Producers in growing areas collect the beans carefully and according to demand only because of the current weak downstream demand. Still, most farmers consider holding their stocks because the mung bean planting area has been greatly reduced this year. The specific amount of production reduction will be calculated later. Farmers’ psychological price expectation is still high, and they are still unwilling to sell at a lower price.
