Even in the 2020/21 market year, China’s soybean imports are expected to exceed USDA’s forecast of 100m tonnes, according to China-based analysts.
China relies heavily on imports of soybeans, with more than 80 percent processed into animal feed. Analysts said, China’s growing soybean demand is expected to further support soybean futures prices.
Experts predict that the impact of imported soybeans will inevitably lead to domestic organic soybean prices in a stable state, which is optimistic for exporters full of confidence.
