Polish carriers postponed the beginning of the blockade of the three largest road checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border from November 3 to 6.

This was reported by one of the organizers of the protest Tomas Borkovskyi, in a comment to Ukrinform. He confirmed that the blockade would start on November 6th, simultaneously in three places near the border with Ukraine. This protest has been officially registered by Polish carriers with local authorities until January 3rd, 2024.

The protesters will block the passage of trucks except humanitarian and military aid for Ukraine. According toBorkovskyi, the blockade is not directed against Ukraine, but in order to have equal opportunities with Ukrainian carriers.

Among the main demands, the Polish carriers of the strike named the restoration of the practice of permits for Ukrainian carriers. Another demand is to exclude empty cars returning from Ukraine from the “e-Queue”. They also want the Polish side to stop issuing licenses to transport companies with capital outside the EU. It is not only about Ukrainians, but also Turks, Georgians, Russians, and Belarusians, who register many companies in Poland.
