European Grain Markets
- Grain markets on Friday answer the question of whether the bulls have the strength for a more serious price attack. The short answer to the question is still unequivocally, “they don’t”
- The minimal deterioration of winter crops and delayed maize planting in France is helping, no way can change that
- With a depreciation on Friday and an appreciation for the week, the rapeseed market still has hopes to form a seasonal low, but overall the trend remains bearish
American Grain Markets
- US wheat markets continue with a much wetter weather forecast in the southern Plains, with an unequivocal drop on Friday and for the week.
- The same can be said for the corn and soybean markets, where pressure late last week came from news of Brazilian soybean and corn sales in the U.S.
Black Sea Grain Markets
- Romania emerges as the only country that will not ban Ukrainian grain imports and will wait for the European Commission’s decision this week
- Outside of political issues, the entire Black Sea region is expecting another week of heavy rainfall and seasonal temperatures
