Chairman of the concern “Belgospischeprom” (Belarus) Oleg Zhidkov said that since 2020, the sale of bottled rapeseed oil in the domestic market has increased by 5.5 times. At the same time, an increase in indicators is noted according to the results of the past calendar year – by 1.5 times according to the report of BelTA.
“Today, the work of the fat-and-oil industry is aimed at the maximum possible self-sufficiency of the republic with vegetable oil and finished products,” Zhidkov comments. “To popularize rapeseed oil, the concern in 2021-2022 implemented a large-format social advertising project, which has already brought certain results.”
The report also notes that more than 5 thousand tons of bottled rapeseed oil were supplied to the domestic market of Belarus by enterprises that are part of the Belgospischeprom concern.
As for exports, raw rapeseed oil is supplied to China and the European Union. Sales of rapeseed oil in PET bottles go mainly to Israel.
