According to official data, the rapeseed harvest in Ukraine as of November 1 this year amounted to 2.95 million tons with a yield of 2.95 t / ha.
The increase in the gross harvest of oilseeds had a positive impact on the export statistics of both raw materials and processed products. At the same time, the export share of the rapeseed crop decreased from 90% to 88%.
As for the prospects for the 2022/23 season, the sown area for winter rapeseed on November 15, 2021, was 1023.4 thousand hectares or 99% of the forecast area – 1028 thousand hectares. A year earlier, 867.9 thousand hectares were sown or 86% of the forecast – 1009.5 thousand hectares.
Considering the more favourable conditions for sowing winter rapeseed for the 2022 crop compared to the previous year, when there was an acute moisture deficit and price spikes both domestically, and towards exports, some expansion of the sown area is expected, analysts believe.UkrAgroConsult.
