The gradual reduction in grain export volumes from Ukraine due to small stocks led to a decrease in rates for transportation by water transport.

This trend was noted by experts from Spike Brokers.

As specified, freight rates for coasters fell by $1-3 per ton in all directions over the past week.

The shortage of cargo also influenced the reduction in the cost of freight on barges. Thus, to Constanta (Romania) you can transport cargo by river for 10 euros per ton. To Ruse/Silistra (Bulgaria) the cost of freight dropped to 16 euros per ton.
