TIANJIN: According to the market feedback, the price of Chinese sunflower seeds has continued to rise after the Spring Festival, and the price has reached a record high. The current export standard of sunflower seeds has exceeded $1,900 per ton. The main reason for the price rise is pure drive and on the other hand, the reduction of production, and business speculation. Exporters predict that prices will not fall in the near term.
This week’s export standard is 361 sunflower seeds, 200-210 seeds/50 g. Reference export prices are $1.880-1.900/ton, and for 190-200 seeds/50 g is $1.890-1.930/ton.
