Brazil: Brazil’s national commodity supply company (CONAB) released its monthly report on Thursday, predicting Brazil’s 2021/22 soybean production at 125.55 million tons, higher than the 124.05 million tons forecast in August, but more than 2020/21. The increased acreage has saved production from a sharp drop, CONAB said. Soybean production in the state of Rio Grande do Sul fell by more than 50% due to high temperatures and lack of rain in southern Brazil.CONAB raised its forecast for soybean exports in 2022 to 77.19 million tonnes, up from last month’s forecast of 75.23 million tonnes, but below the previous record of more than 86 million tonnes in 2021.
