Soybean Harvest Nearing Completion in the United States

The soybean harvest in the United States is almost over, with 85% of the crop already collected. The pace of fieldwork is slightly behind last year’s values, although during the week the harvest has advanced by 9%, according to the USDA crop tour data.

Experts estimate that by October 29, the soybean harvest was 85% complete, compared to 87% on the same date last year and 78% on average over the past five years.

In addition, by the end of the current month, corn threshing was completed by 71% of the plan (+12% for the week; 74% – a year ago; 66% – for the last 5 years).

Winter wheat planting in the U.S. was 84% complete (+7% for the week), which is slightly behind last year’s result (86%) and the 5-year average (85%). Sprouts appeared on 64% of areas. Almost half of the crops (47%) are in “good” and “excellent” condition, which is much more than a year ago (28%).
