Selling prices for soybean meal in the Ukrainian market last week grew slightly, according to the data of analysts of APK-Inform.
So, according to experts, the rise in the price of products was recorded due to instability in the work of the country’s energy industry. This factor has forced most feed and livestock enterprises to maintain the stocks of meal necessary for work in the long term.
“This continued to support prices,” experts say. “However, many of the buyers satisfied the urgent needs for these products, so the purchasing activity in the market decreased, which led to a decrease in the growth rate of prices.”
Thus, according to analysts, prices for soybean meal by February 13 in Ukraine are fixed in the range of 17,500-20,500 UAH/t EXW (445-522 Euro/t) against 17,400-20,200 UAH/t EXW (443-514 Euro/t), which were at the beginning of last week.
“Some producers decided not to revise the selling prices of soybean meal under current conditions,” APK-Inform added.
