Tariş announced the base purchase price of raisins for the 2023 season. Tariş Grape Union President Ali Rıza Türker, in his message, announced the purchase price of the lowest quality raisin number 7 as 45 TL ( 1.56 Euro ). It was also estimated that the yield would be 35 percent lower than last year.

On Monday, September 11, Türker announced that the payments will start and stated that the purchases continue in 13 cooperatives affiliated to Tariş Grape Union. On the other hand, officials estimate that this year’s raisin yield will be 35 percent lower than last year. Prices are expected to increase due to the loss of yield in raisin production. It is predicted that the raisin yield of 350 thousand tons last year will decrease to 200 thousand tons this year.

Farmers’ expectations were around 60 TL. Considering the price jumps in all the goods in Türkiye, it seems that farmers are not satisfied with the price announced by Tariş.

TMO has not announced a price yet. The producer turned his eye to the price to be announced by TMO.

Considering the significant yield loss and the purchase price of the lowest quality raisins from farmers, export prices this year are expected to be higher than last year. Although prices are not yet fully settled in the export market, some suppliers are quoting a FOB price of 2.00 Euros/kg for type 9 raisins.
