The volume of agricultural production in the Republic of Moldova at the end of the past calendar year decreased markedly to the level of 2021 – by almost 30%,” follows from the data of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Moldova.
In particular, there is a decline in the crop and livestock sector – by 36.9% and 2.6%, respectively.
According to official data, the gross harvest of sunflower seeds decreased by 35.3% to 621.6 thousand tons; soybeans – by 39%, to 30.8 thousand tons.
A decline is also recorded in grain: the wheat harvest decreased by 45.6%, to 851.1 thousand tons, corn – by 74.8%, to 705 thousand tons.
