The Operation of the Grain Corridor Reached Minimum This Year

Spread the news!

The work of the Grain Corridor has been continued, but so far it has not been fully operational.

During the last 6 days, only 11 vessels passed inspection at the entrance. This is nothing to compare with the queue of vessels expecting permission for loading.

78% less than a week ago

For the 42nd week of the Grain Corridor operation (May 15-21, 2023), 118.3 thousand tons of agricultural products were exported through the seaports of the Odesa region. This is 78% less than shipments a week ago. Ukraine managed to load only 4 vessels this week. The week before was also not very active, but the number of loaded vessels was 13. More than that, all these vessels are loaded, but they have not yet passed the necessary inspection to continue moving on to customers. This is the lowest figure of this year.

The largest export volumes during the 42nd week of the Grain Corridor were: corn (78% of exports over this period); sunflower cake (17%); wheat (6%).

Ukrainian products went to Asia (Saudi Arabia, Türkiye), Africa (Morocco) and Europe (Italy).

In total, from the start of the Grain Corridor from August 1, 2022 to May 21, 2023, Ukraine managed to export 30.3 million tons of agricultural products.
