As of February 15, 2023, Ukraine has reported a significant milestone in its agricultural sector, with the total grain harvest reaching close to 59 million tonnes. Operational data provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine indicates that the corn harvest, covering 91% of the forecasted area, has yielded 28.748 million tonnes from 3.689 million hectares, with an average yield of 7.79 tonnes per hectare.
The past week has seen an additional increase of approximately 44,000 tonnes in the corn harvest alone.
Overall, harvesting of grains and pulses in Ukraine has been conducted across 97% of the planned area, totaling 10.609 million hectares. This has resulted in a production volume of 58.993 million tonnes, with an average yield of 5.56 tonnes per hectare.
