ODESA: Ukrainian farmers have almost completed their corn harvest and increased sales. Most of them want to finalise all issues with delivery to ports before New Year Eve. This immediately led to an increase in truck queues in ports and lower prices under pressure from supply.
Purchase prices for corn fell in ports to $ 258-260 / t or UAH 7950-8100 / t for December deliveries and $ 260-262 / t for January deliveries.
At the same time, traders have almost purchased the volumes required for the nearest contracts. Therefore they do not offer additional premiums for fast delivery. Improving rail transport from elevators will boost deliveries under previously signed agreements. Due to the increase in road transportations in ports, queues are formed for 1-3 days.
