According to operational data, rapeseed exports from Ukraine in December became atypically high for the specified month, amounting to 213 thousand tons, which, despite a decrease of 60% compared to the previous month, is the maximum for the reporting period since 2009, APK-Inform writes.
From July to December, 3.06 million tons of rapeseed were exported from the country, which is 16% higher than in the same period of the previous season and was a record figure for exports for the entire season.
“Our estimate of the 2022 oilseed harvest in January was raised again to 3.44 million tonnes (+1% compared to the December estimate; +9% by 2021). The export estimate in 2022/23 MY was adjusted to 3.24 million tons (+ 2%; + 19%),” the agency’s oilseed market analyst Svitlana Kyrychok said.
