In 2022, Ukrainian flakes manufacturer Agricom Group and Dobrodiya Foods launched product sales in Moldova, Poland, Romania, and the United Kingdom according to the director of the Dobrodiya Foods plant Irina Broslavtseva to the publication Forbes Ukraine.
“The experience of systemic exports and the study of local specifics helped to quickly enter new markets,” she added. Broslavtseva clarified that, unlike Ukraine, Polish retail chains almost do not work directly with the manufacturer, it is important to have a contract with a distributor.
In addition, European customers require suppliers from a warring country to guarantee timely delivery. To reduce military risks, Dobrodiya Foods opened a trading house and warehouse in Warsaw in August.
The company shared plans for the next two years: to launch a line for the production of children’s breakfast cereals, to expand European geography, to enter the markets of the Baltic states, and Germany, as well as to return to the traditional markets of Asia and Africa. In 2023, the company intends to start the construction of a plant in Poland.
“The demand for quality products from Ukraine is growing every day, this is a great opportunity to scale production,” added Petro Melnyk, CEO of Agricom.
