Ukrainian Sea Corridor: Surpassing Pre-War Export Volumes in Seven Months

Spread the news!

During seven months, Ukrainian Sea Corridor helped to export 33.8 million tons of goods. This amount is already bigger than during the year of the “grain agreement”, in which the UN, Russia and Türkiye participated.

This was announced by the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.

It should be reminded that in summer 2023 Russia finally withdrew from the Grain Initiative and launched systematic attacks on ports infrastructure and agricultural powers. Ukraine opened their corridor in August 2023.

Today, 1140 vessels passed through the Ukrainian corridor, exporting 33.8 million tons of cargo to 40 countries of the world. Of these, 23.1 million tons are agricultural products.

Also, currently 150 vessels are in the queue to approach the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdenny. They are supposed to export almost 5 million tons of cargo.

To resume, Ukraine has reached almost the pre-war volume of exports from the ports of Greater Odessa. And also introduced a much more efficient logistics route without the participation of the aggressor state. Ukraine continues to be one of the guarantors of the world food security.
