Ukrainian Sunflower Prices Are Decreasing

Spread the news!

Purchase prices for Ukrainian sunflower are declining amid a slump in world oil prices and sluggish demand from processors for expensive raw materials, analysts at Spike Brokers report. They note that the cost of oilseed in the domestic market is now in the range of $310-335 or €288-311 per ton without VAT with delivery to the plant.

In neighboring Bulgaria, sunflower is reportedly trading in the range of $420-440 or €390-408 per ton.

Low river freight and the possibility of open exports to Bulgaria are becoming the best alternative for selling oilseeds to local agricultural producers,” experts explain.

On the basis of DAP Bulgaria, quotations for the product are at $840-850 or €779-788.
