US Soybean Export Inspections Show Mixed Trends
According to the latest report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture on export inspections, soybean export inspections surged by 56 percent in the past week compared to the previous week. However, they experienced a decline of 26 percent compared to the same period last year.
In the week ending February 1, 2024, U.S. soybean exports amounted to 1,426,472 tonnes, marking a decrease from the 1,914,633 tonnes recorded during the corresponding period in the previous year.
The report further revealed that in the first half of the 2023/24 period, total soybean exports from the United States reached 29,116,276 tons, showcasing a decline of 23.6% compared to the previous year. As of the 22nd week of the year, U.S. soybean exports have achieved 61.0% of the annual export target, indicating a slight increase from 57.9% reported last week.
