Yunnan: According to market participants, the current price of China’s sizeable white kidney beans is stable. However, due to lack of raw materials, 45 kidney beans are offered at US$1,660/ton, and 40 kidney beans are offered at US$1,710/ton, which is the domestic trade standard.
Merchants have low stocks and maintain regular customers. The prices are temporarily stable. Most of the local, new season kidney beans are growing well. This week, the export standard of sizeable white kidney beans rose slightly from last week due to a lack of stock.
Market participants said that the price of the new product would increase somewhat before it goes on the market. Many exporters have no stock and temporarily stop quoting. The export reference prices of 45 grains and 40 grains are US$1730/ton and US$1,800/ton, respectively. Production and fees in 2021 are still unpredictable, and new products are expected to be available in early November. Stay tuned for the latest market changes.
