TMO announced last week that they will sell dried raisins until 21 February from the crop 2020 at 15.50 TL/kg for type nr. 9. They will continue with the new crop sales if there is enough interest. Market players reported that the markets are still very calm, that there is a slight increase in demands, and that the exports are continuing at a high level. The daily transactions at the Commodity Exchange in Izmir remain low, and raw material prices are at the same levels as last week.
Market players are in the meaning that the raw material prices have settled at these levels and will not come back anymore. Organic sultana raisins are traded at 19-20 TL/kg. Exporters offer still at 1500-1550 Usd/mt on FOB Izmir basis for type nr.9 and 2000-2200 Usd/mt on FOB Izmir basis for organic type nr.9.
Today the Usd/TL rate was noted at 13.62 TL (13.57 last week) and Euro/TL rate at 15.49 TL levels (15.37 last week).
Turkey’s total exports range at 126.881 mt until 19 February 2022, which was 117.140 mt last year during the same period. Turkey exported 5244 mt of sultana raisins the previous week, being 3745 mt during the same week of the previous Season.
