As the purchase of peanuts stagnate, it trends slight low in the market, estimating decrement in the edible oil in the coming days.
Though, price reduced by $0,02 per kg, now at 0,10 per kg, sale is still less, but with no buyout. Owing to this, the average market is down now.
At Himmatnagar, 300-400 peanut sacks arrived.
On Saturday, lesser than expected, Gondal too received peanuts, the prices of which remained flat. However, farmers still stock peanuts, which the stockists are selling on their behalf.
Speculating the market ups & downs for peanut and assessing the present trend, traders factor the movement of groundnut oil and flour to be detrimental. Increase in groundnut price may push the sales up.
Around 45-47000 peanut sacks traded in Gondal, of which 27000 sacks were sold and the remaining 15-20000 stocks in the yard. While, the incoming groundnut quantity in Rajkot estimated 10000 times more.
