The volume of transportation of Ukrainian grain to Poland has increased 27 times. There were changes in logistics routes due to a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, said Polish Infrastructure Minister Andrzej Adamczyk.
In a situation where the EU border is also becoming the frontline border, a number of roads in Poland, as well as in other countries of the region — in Slovakia and Hungary — have become important. It is also very relevant to build a corridor of three seas, which will improve not only economic contacts but also a sense of security for residents of the eastern regions of the European Union.
Adamczyk called the inclusion of the Three Seas Corridor into the TEN-T road network a significant success.
The official also stressed the important role of the Rail Baltica corridor. In his opinion, in the end, the railway line will connect not only Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, but also Finland with the European network.
Freight traffic by rail in Poland showed record results in 2022.
Recall that Polish farmers are protesting the import of cereals and other agricultural products from Ukraine.
