Buyers from the growing areas in Gansu reported that the Chinese lentil harvest is coming in 2 months.
Traditionally, summer is the off-season for lentils, and demand is almost at zero.
Many farmers in the growing areas are now trying to sell the older crop, as prices are expected to fall further. Exporters expect prices of standard lentil export commodity to fall by 2 to 3 % next week.
