The Ukrainian government has taken many measures to solve the problem of “black grain” (grain bought for cash and exported with fake documents). It is already bringing the desired results and will enable farmers to take advantage of preferential financial opportunities for conducting their business.
This opinion was expressed by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky.
There are many appeals from farmers regarding “black grain” and the motivation for selling. The Ukrainian government has already done a lot to prevent this from happening. Fortunately, many such sellers have already left the market.
Vysotsky refused to name the companies that left the market and were engaged in buying grain and oil crops for cash, adding that “everyone has already heard that they are not on the market.”
Farmers have more opportunities now
According to the information of the deputy minister, the fight against “black grain” is one of the measures to return the market to the legal plane. This also means that farmers have more opportunities to sell officially and at a better price.
In addition, the fight against the shadow circulation of grain should help more enterprises to get preferential loans.
