Analysts Increased the Estimate of Rapeseed Harvest in the EU

Analysts of Strategie Grains increased the overall estimate of the EU rapeseed production in 2023/24 MY by 0.6 mln tonnes compared to the previously announced figure – to 19.5 mln tonnes, which generally corresponds to the previous season, reports Apkinform.

It is noted that the adjustments were made on the basis of better-than-expected harvests in Romania, the Baltic States, Germany, Spain and Italy.

At the same time, the estimation of sunflower seed harvest in the EU in 2023/24 MY decreased by 0.2 mln tonnes per month to 10.1 mln tonnes, which is still 0.8 mln tonnes ahead of the previous season.

Soybean production in the EU is forecasted at 2.9 mln tonnes (+0.4 mln tonnes y/y).
