Kiew – According to market operators, the Turkish State Food Procurement Agency TMO has announced a tender for the import of 320 thousand tons of barley.
According to the terms of the tender, the delivery should be made before 18th July 2021. The ports are Derince (25 thousand tons); Iskenderun (75 thousand tons); Mersin (50 thousand tons); Izmir (25 thousand tons); Bandirma (50 thousand tons); Tekirdag (25 thousand tons); Samsun (25 thousand tons); Trabzon (20 thousand tons) and Karasu (25 thousand tons).
The tender will be open till June 24.
As a result, considering the new crop delay this year, if Ukrainian exporters get the winning bids, it can increase the local prices for barley in July significantly. Therefore, looking forward to the tender award.
