Beijing: China imported 52.464 million tons of soybeans from Brazil from January to November 2022,13 percent below the 60.476 million tons in 2021, according to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy (Secex) in 2021. China is the biggest buyer of Brazilian soybeans. In second place was Spain, purchasing 3.281 million tons, down 9 percent from a year earlier. Thailand was the third largest buyer, with 2.614 million tons purchased, down 8 percent year on year. In the first 11 months of 2022, Brazil’s soybean exports totaled 77.033 million tons to 86.11 million tons in the same period last year.
