The price of dried figs exported by Iran has fallen in the world markets during the last two months and compared to the beginning of this year. The increase in the exchange rate of foreign currencies against the Rial is the most important reason for the decrease in the price of this product in global markets.

Cost has risen

During the last two months, the cost of Iranian exported dried figs has risen in the domestic market of Iran. However, the price of this product has declined by 10 to 15 percent in the domestic market of Iran due to the increase of about 30 percent in the cost of foreign currencies in the Iranian market. The increase in the foreign exchange rates in the Iranian market was due to the ongoing economic crises in Iran, which happened after the protests against the government in late 2022. Also, increasing tension from Western countries is another reason for this issue, which was due to the sending of drones by Iran to Russia.
