BRNO/BUDAPEST – The latest quotations of new crop Czech blue poppy seeds (< 10 mg morphine content) are at a new low price level of 45 CZK – 47 CZK/kg (1,76 – 1,84 Euro/kg) FCA CZ. And the prices keep decreasing.
Hungary’s biggest providers have decided to keep the new Hungarian crop at a price level of 2,00 EUR/kg until the harvest of the new Czech crop is going to start and the true harvest information will be available.
Many processors in Hungary still doubt whether the new Czech crop will really be so excellent as the Czech traders suggest and believe in a rebound of the market prices.
