Sales of British red kidney beans have virtually ground to a halt. Traders are keeping their heads above water with small export orders. Currently, the purchase price is 4.20 yuan/yin for the raw product. Due to weak demand, exporters are only buying quantities that have already been sold. For the coming season, farmers’ harvest expectations are good. The weather conditions in the kidney bean growing areas are optimal. Export prices are between USD 1,750 and 1,770 per tonne.
