Market players reported that exporters still prefer not to give prices due to the uncertainties in the exchange rates snd the increasing raw material prices. It is still calm on the buyers’ side, but this will not last long either. Exporters, who say they will start giving prices in a few days, do not know how long the uncertainties will last. These uncertainties are a significant barrier to pricing and long-term sales.
Today the Usd/TL rate was noted at 13.03 TL (11.54 last week) and Euro/TL rate at 14.70 TL levels (13.07 last week).
Turkey exported 1.206 mt of dried figs and figs products being 912 mt during the same week of last year. The total exports range at 30.987 mt, being 31.391 mt in total in the same period last year.
